: how much power should this sentra make?
Dirty 08-03-2004, 03:40 AM sup guys, i may be getting a '91 SER with a pulsar GTI-R swap in it. the mods on the motor include:
Nismo flywheel
ACT XTR4 clutch
Walbro 225lph fuel pump
HKS drop in filter
HKS 3 in downpipe
what would yall expect that to make on stock boost. what is stock boost anyway on those motors? and is it true the turbo is bigger than a t25? also, what would be some beneficial mods to the make more power, this car will be a daily driver. ill be happy with 220-230whp. the car also has Tokicko struts, Eibach springs, 21 mm Suspension Technics sway bar, Prof BOV, and DSS stage 2 axles, there is also a set of Pulsar brakes coming with the car :D thanks
it will make that power or more on stock boost. the turbo is a garret t28, it is considerably bigger than a t25. the stock wastegate is 8psi.
also you should search around, people tend to get grumpy with newbie posts...no offense

8 psi on T28 isn't going to give you 250 HP. Just like Will said...around 220-230 @ 8 psi. :squint:

the car still has the top mount on it, i believe he has a hood scoop on the car though. which brings me too my next question, what will be more efficient....top mount with a big scoop, or frount mount? i figure the top mount will provide good throttle response and adequate cooling, but the top mount will without a doubt provide BETTER cooling.
as far as exhaust, i have no idea....all i know is it has a 3'' DP. i should be recieving pics soon of the car. i havent seen it yet, its about 2 hrs away from me.
btw...NyceP26...what kinda front end do you have??

I doubt you will make 220-230 whp on an 8.3:1 motor, you get those kind of numbers on a DE. I'd say 200-210whp.
And like goneturbo said, that clutch is way overkill. Hope you like changing transmissions.
4DoorSR 08-04-2004, 11:14 AM GTiR will make about 230whp on stock boost with an intake and 3"dp. Maybe 220 at the least. A stock BB sr will put out 200-210whp stock.

don't know. I feel like my car is slow, literally. I would be interested if anyone had a dyno chart with that setup. I still havent dyno my car yet and still trying to figure the exhaust smell that engulfs the interior. dammit. oh well.
4DoorSR 08-04-2004, 12:36 PM If you search you'll find a few BB dyno's of 200-210WHP pretty much stock. I'm yet to see a gtir dyno stock.
Serban 08-04-2004, 02:14 PM It all depends on what the car has. I think its very possible for that car to put out around 220+whp. Even though the motor is lower compression, it should still make some nice power.
I was able to put down 215whp on a t25/t28 hybrid at 6psi with a BB tmic, 3" exhaust, and pulleys.
As long as the car is running good, 200whp seems very do-able.
