: Car is running super rich: Could a vacuum leak or bad MAF splice be the cause?

I just recently fired up my altima (and it starts up) for the first time with the turbo

My fuel system: MSD 50lbs/Walbro 255/JWT Rail/Nismo FPR/Cobra MAF

I was playing with the FUEL PSI (albiet I forgot about pulling the vacuum line off to set it) and couldn't really get a good psi to have the car run well...I could rev a lil (2000/2300) but he car would load up and at the same time foul the plugs like nobodies business...super black on all 4 plugs!

I know the Injectors are hooked up correctly and the JWT ecu is correct as well...but could my problem be one of the following?

1. I capped the EGR diaphram off the intake manifld, as well as where the EGR heat tube runs into the side...however I didn't use any gaskets...would that cause a vacuum leak which would in turn make it rich?

2. I never sprayed water near the injectors in the rail...would a bad seal cause that ??

3. My MAF isn't hooke dup correctly or has a loose connection, causing super rich readings

or

4. The splice into the ECU wire for my AF gauge isn't good, causing it not to give an accurate reading???

Any help is appreciated, i'm kinda stuck now!

Ran the ECU diagnostics and came up with error 12 which is mass air flow meter....

Would a faulty ground cause this error to show?? or possibly a bad 02 sensor

(remember u13 altima ka24de-t)

maf will mess everything up, try and reground it first though

Make sure you got the wiring for the maf done correctly. JWT has instructions on their website. If it isn't hooked up right it will cause your car to only be revved to 3k and the car will be in limp mode which is basically dumping as much fuel into the system as it can.

Hey I'm leaving work early today to mess around on another friends SE-R. I'll stop by and we can check it out.

That limp mode is basically what happened...It wouldn't rev past a certain RPM

Sounds like I may just hafta redo the connections!
