Is the gasket between the turbo housing and the j-pipe nessecary? I think I may have an exhuast leak because I get a strong exhaust/fuel smell every time my car sees boost, and I dont have a gasket right there... hmmm. Its been fine for about 3 months, and now just started though. I wouldnt think it would see too much pressure since it is after the wastegate.

the bolts holding it may be comming loose, also, you really do need a gasket there.

Check the bolts... I would imagine a gasket is nec as well seeing how much air is being pushed through it too.

Yea, I figure I have an exaust leak somewhere, so I am just going to take the whole assembly apart and get all new gaskets everywhere. Also, because its the Disco Potato turbo, one of the studs is just a bit off, so I basically had to hammer it together. I have the friggen $18 a piece nissan stainless steel nuts on there too, and they sure look to be holding tight ;)

Do things right or it'll just creat more probs in the future. get the gasket and use some copper sealant. Also, use lockwashers to get an extra grip on the studs. Tight car btw!

Hey Freak how do you like that fiber/fiber clutch? My buddy with p10 det has had his installed for about 5k now and the clutch pedal is so damn hard its so crazy.... he is pulling his tranny off tomorrow to check things out. We are hoping it isn't the clutch plate but you might keep an eye on yours and let me know if you notice it getting stiffer quick or whatnot.

Ive got the hydraulic clutch, so I dont notice the stiffness of it at all. I dont have the 1x or whatever the HD clutchnet PP is, I have the lighter regular one. I love the disc, it chatters a bit, but it grabs and holds like nothing else.
