how do you remove those moldings to say repair a rust spot without breaking them off? Are there bolts or screws holding them on?

I replaced the 1 on the driver side door on my car. I ordered it from nissan and it came pre painted it was like $60-80.00. Mine were held on with 3m tape and the new 1 came with 3m tape already on it.

I started shaving the lines in the hood and looked back and thoung that it will look better without the side moldings. So i decided to shave em

Im trying the bondo first. Since that its what I know how to do. Hopefully it will work. The hole car is a trial and error.
