anyways, i have the ground control/kyp suspension setup and i have that fu*ked up noise coming from the rear tophats. does anyone know what size washers i have to use and how many to be able to tighten everything down so they wont be able to move around and make noise

People have trouble getting the nut tight, so they stack washers to take up some of the slack. Didn't work for me, so I bought shigspeed rear pillowballs and I put them on the struts while they were off the car. Used a vise grips clamped as tight as humanly possible on the strut rod up top where it'll never go into the strut, so no worries about marring the metal. Well I did that and used an impact wrench and it still would slip but I got those f-ckers on tight. The vise grips didn't even put a light scratch on the the sturt rods in case you were wondering. I STILL have noise in my passenger's rear, same one I had before. It get's quieter when I grease the shit out of the rubber bushing. Grease works it's way out and noise comes back. I even zip tied my tophats to the springs. I have my ride height high enough that even when the suspension if at full slack, the springs are still tight to the top. So teathering the suspension to still be tight when at full slack won't help. I've thought of putting a big wad of silicone on the bushing, top and bottom and then setting the car back down. I don't know what the lasting solution is though.

i thinking of doing the same with the silicone... im still going to get the washers so that i can get it tight, but im also going to put a layer of silicone on the top and bottom of the bushing and see what happens. i was wondering if that orange stuff you put on the back of brake pads to stop brake squeal would work  HMMMMMMM i might be onto somthing :squint:

I've also encountering the same rear noise problem, mainly on passenger side. I'm running GC/AGX setup with the Motivation rear mounts.

Few questions for someone running the same setup:
1. Are you using the OEM bumpstops?
2. Did your AGX rear struts came with the rubber pieces that goes on below the strut nut?

I'm getting to the point where the noise is getting very unbearable when driving. I recently raised the rear height of my GC for winter, and found that the passenger side is still sitting lower than the driver side.

Anyone else enocunter this problem?

well who ever finds the solution to this problem please post it. the squeek to every damn bump is bugging the heck out of me man  . i have tokico blues on suspension techniques springs the ride is cool but the noise sucks. i gotta raise the radio high enough so i wont have to deal with the squeeking noise!!!

About every six months I raise the rearend and saturate the top rubber bushings with white lithium grease. It seems to work for about 2-4 months, depending on the weather I guess.

The trick is to have about an inch of spacers or better yet only about 1/2 an inch of rubber. I use 1 ES sway bar endlink bushing. Everything else metal. You need that one to allow it to move a little. Grease it up, get it tight and it should be fine.
