I hate to do it but I have to sell my 96 se-r. It is a 5 speed manual, that has no problems, it shifts good with minimal effort, and the clutch is in good shape. It has 79,xxx miles, and is in good condition mechanically. It has a Place Racing CAI, but I also have the stock air box (comes with the car, otherwise + $100 :p) I'm asking $4,000obo. Hey, some quick questions about the car, brakes, rotors, etc, anything getting near the end of it's life? Any quirks whatsoever? Any problems starting, etc? Suspension good? All that sorta stuff. Main thing being would this thing pass inspection right now? A/C working too? I'm really interested in this, my offer will be 3-4 grand depending on the condition of some of the stuff. (I'm coming from Pittsburgh, so I'd like to have an idea of what I'm getting into before possibly driving/flying over there ;)) thanks!

also, I wasn't able to get like a view from the ceiling or anything, is this 'bare' 200sx stuff? no sunroof, no cd player, that sorta stuff?

The air is cold, the tires only have a few thousand miles on them (if that, definatly less than 5k, but possibly as little as 1k, I'll check when I get home)

The front brake pads were Just changed soon after the tires were replaced (like I said in the prev post, not many miles on them, but will check exact #'s tonight) The rotors are good. The suspension and all that is good, air works great. No problems starting. It just passed NJ inspection in June, so it's still good for 2 more years in NJ, so I would assume it would be fine in PA.

It has a sunroof, no CD player, and the volume knob on the cassette player is broken, so it's fun to try and get it to work with a paper clip. I am looking to get a CD player off of ebay to put in, otherwise I have an older cassette player to put in.

Actually, new cars the inspection is good for 4 years now, and all OBDII cars do not have to use the tailpipe sniffer for emmissions. They just hook up to the consult port, and makse sure your ECU isn't throwing any codes out.

Why i'm selling it, I just bought an 04 Xterra to use as a winter/beater/ daily driver. I also have an 03 350Z, so the se-r was only being used in bad weather, now I never drive it.

The tires are all season, and they handled good in the snow last winter.

There is some rust underneath, nothing bad, just typical of an NJ 8+ year old car.

I just checked my records, there are 79,876 miles on the car. The tires were changed at 75,326 miles, and the most recent oil change and front brake pads were changed at 78,842miles

ahh that's something i meant to ask too, do you have maintenance records on hand? and if so how far back do you have them (not sure exactly what 'records' above might mean, could just be when you were billed ;))

There's a book in the car that has everything written down when something was done to it, gas/oil/brakes/tires etc. There hasn't been much besides that done except spark plugs/wires changed and wheel bearings (at least since i've had the car)
