Does the harness that plugs into the DE ECU plug right into the VE ECU?

I don't wanna go with a VE ECU if the wiring is all different cause I'd like to still be able to plug the Nissan Consult straight into that little plug beneath the fuses to check the system....

Also, how much does a SR20VE ecu typically go for and where do you get them from?

How will you know the diff between the normal and the 20v VE ECU?

The FAQ will tell you about the ecu's, but if you car is OBD-II then you can't use the VE ecu. The VE ecu plugs into the OBD-I USDM cars, but you have to use JDM sensors for some of the ecu functions (coolant temp, etc.)

U would be better off going with a 91 - 94 B13 Harness and 91 - 94 B13 JWT ECU for the VE. Tis what i will be running for mine here in a few months

I don't have access to JWT stuff guys. My car is a N14 Pulsar SR20DE high-port.

I'm sure my sensors etc. are all JDM stuff as our cars where imported from there and assembled here. How will I know if I have OBD-I or II?

The FAQ doesn't have too much info on the ecu's unfortunately. Thus far it looks like sticking with the DE ECU, etc is the best bet, and then adding an aftermarket engine management system....

I think you are OBDI or maybe something entirely different. There is no emissions eqpt. on South African cars, and I think that's the main thing that differs between the two.

You are probably obd1. Just see if your harness plugs into the ve ecu. If it does it should work.

You are OBD1. Almost all the African Nissans are. We are programming a gents 2002 Primera's ECU thru JWT now. It's a OBD1 (well blue plug anyway). I am not pushing you to give us money, just letting you know.

If you have 259cc injectors and do not want to do the JWT thing, I would throw your injectors in the VVL and run your factory computer with timing at 14 and call it a day.
