Greetings all,

I'm looking for a new Magnaflow muffler for my '91 SE-R for a good price (sub $70 - I'm cheap, what can I say), in order to get rid of my Flowmaster 50-series 3 chamber. I am looking for a direct fit if possible (with hangers, etc., so that I can just install it myself), but a universal fit will be fine as well. I don't want one with an oversized tip - in fact, no tip would be fine. Ideally, I would like it to be similar to my current one (2.25" diameter inlet, dual 2" diameter outlet, no tips). Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance...

Dynomax welded ultra flow is about $76 at: http://www.a-1parts.com/ Universal muffler - no tip. Good mufflers It's what I and lots of others run. Search on custom exhaust - should be other opinions to review.

I think it is what Stillen used to use for their exhaust systems/rust collectors

Actually, $tillen used to use IMCO mufflers, which are nothing more than replacement quality mufflers, not the 'performance' mufflers $tillen marketed them as.

Mine lasted little more than 18 months before rusting apart.

You can find a replacement for it at about ANY low-rent muffler shop, if you'd like. I wouldn't recommend it, though.

I was looking specifically for the MagnaFlow because the general consensus on the list is that it has a low, relatively quiet tone.

By the way, I did call A1-Parts, and the salesperson I spoke with was somewhat rude. I probably won't be ordering from there... Anyhow, I think I've found what I'm looking for at: http://www.promuffler.com/magnaflow.htm, part #11148, $84.50. I'll keep shopping around, and taking suggestions. I really appreciate the replies!

Thanks...

Looks like a pretty good choice as long as the dual tip look will fit the classic.

I would consider 12148 because the larger can should absorb more sound.
