My hinges have gone from bad-to worse now and I need to do something about them. It seems from reading the history on the board that they need to be replaced by a body show--(I can't do that myself). Does anyone in the mass/ri area know a place I can get this done. I am looking for reccomendations here.

You can do it yourself. It is simple. First get new hinges. then open the door and remove one hinge at a time and replace with a new one, but don't tighten them up yet. Have a friend lift up on the back on the door as hard as he can and you tighten up the bolts, this will align the door. Your are finished. If you need anymore help let me know. I have it to my 92 and my 94.
thanks michael--you make it sound very simple--I just nightmares of driving my car around holding the door shut because it won't close anymore and pulling into a body shop and getting charged extra for the stupid tax. I guess I will give it a shot unless someone else knows a cheap reliable place in mass/ri to do it for me.
I am pretty sure it is the hinges--when I hit a bump the door makes a bang sound and doesn't seem to line up just right.

If I go over 80 in my buddy's '94, sounds like the driver's door is going to fall off. Dosen't quite seal right... Pretty exciting, because the seatbelt is attached to the door...
