it started with a feint smell of gas... well now i belive the tube has basicly rusted out.... i called a nissan dealership and described it to them.... and got a part # from them (172214B002) and a price of $47.77 which isnt bad.... i was going to order this but i figured i would check here in case anyone else has a better idea??? possibly a plastic tube that WILL NOT rust :P ...or even a better place to order it?

$32 and shipping comes to $42. Not sure if you are pinching the pennies or not. I would say use the stock filler tube, maybe coat the outside of it with some krylon or rustoleum paint.

wolfcri and I replaced one of these in an SE-R he once had. Be prepared for every bolt holding in the filler tube to break as they will be as rusty as the filler pipe, so have a drill or extractor ready, as well as new bolts.
