anyone know of a good way to clean the seats. mine are pretty dirty and have a few stains, i dont wanna ruin the seats buy scrubbing them hard or anything, they've already got a few snags. and another thing is the plastice window on my guage cluster, how do i clean that? is has all these little spots and nothing seems to get them out, they're like on both sides.

I took mine out and sprayed them with water while I gently scrubbed them.

I use the Bissell Little Green Machine. Works great! You'd be amazed at how dirty the water gets. It won't work on fruit punch Gatorade and the like though. :(

Yeah use clothes detergent, I forgot to write that. After you have washed let them sit in the sun.

There is a cleaner called TUFF STUFF. They sell it at the auto parts. It works great.

Go to www.griotsgarage.com. Get Interior Cleaner for the inside. When I got my latest NX last year, the car was pretty nice, but the interior was filthy. This stuff worked wonders and it's very easy to use. People on the forum that have seen my car can attest to how clean the interior is now.

They also have plastic cleaner/polish for the gauge cluster.

If you have a powerfull wet vac, or you can rent a carpet machine that has a handheld wand. Fill a squirt bottle with a mixture of hot water and baking soda. Spray that on and scrub your spots with an old toothbrush, then extract the areas with your wet vac. Repeat the process until you get clean water being extracted, which is hard to see unless the wand on the carpet machine is clear, so you may have to dump and check the color of your waste water several times. The nice thing about the baking soda is that it won't contribute to resoiling like soaps, detergents and cleaners will, and when it dries, it'll become a powder again, which will vacuum up. I cleaned carpets for a large university for 9 years and I learned a few things. :)

I agree with CapoD.... Griots garage has great stuff.. also check with the folks at properautocare.com, they have a very nice newsletter that comes out too, full of nifty tips and good stuff.

I used my home carpet cleaner, and the wand, it did a really great job. Just use it with the soap, mist down the seats and let them sit for a bit (vacuum up all the dirt you can first of course). I cleaned it using the built-in scrubber and soapy solution, then used just a straight want with water to rinse it and get out as much soap as possible.

It made a HUGE difference in the seats, I was very impressed.
