I noticed recently that when my car is warmed up and im sitting at a stopping position and i have the clutch to the floor and the brake pedal engaged my car drops the revs to like 600 and it feels like it wants to stall for a split second, then the revs climb back up to 750. My timing is advanced to 19 degrees...what could be the cause of this problem?? Should i raise my idel to 800 or so?? and ideas would be helpful...thanks in advance.

Sounds like your idle is off. Check it per FSM. Also, make sure you don't have any vacuum leaks.

how can i make sure i dont have any vaccumn leaks...just by feeling around the intake hoses??? its just wierd that it happens when the clutch is in and the brake is applied.

Does it happen with shifter in neutral and clutch out?

To find vacuum leak, try spraying carb cleaner around vacuum lines while engine is running and idle is consistently dipping. If, while spraying, the idle goes up to normal, there is your leak.

FWIW, on my 92, the small, C-shaped vacuum line on the back of the VC cut selonoid valve was split at both ends. Check the small one's first, then the larger ones at the back of the valvel cover (around PCV valve).

Hope this helps...

mine is doing the same thing, i recently adjusted my idle because i adjusted my TPS and it fucked my idle all up. it doesent do it when my car is in neutral, only when in gear with the clutch pedal presed...neutral+clutch out, idle bang on at 850rpm..

I get the same problemo, too.

The first time it happened it wasn't much longer before a fuel injector went out. But that's because my car is crazy, and I've gone through three fuel injectors already in the past five months.

Now it only happens when I press the clutch and I either put it in first or reverse and right when I begin to feed it some gas and release the clutch is when that happens.

It gets real shaky, too. The worst part about it is others say I'm being "too picky".

But when you know how your car is supposed to feel, you really know how your car is supposed to feel!

It seems to do it when i step on the brake and the clutch pedal is to the floor, it doest matter whether im in neutral or not, it does it then too. It doesnt do it all the time either, its kinda sparatic. Ill check for vacumn leaks and i know i definately need an oil change too, ill get that out of the way. I think i might have air in my braking system as well. Ill try to eliminate those variables and keep u posted. thanks for the info guys, and of course any other suggestions are welcome. :)
