I know this is not going to be popular, but many feel this is a positive thing overall. I apologize in advance for making an unpopular decision. :squint:

Signature pictures have been disabled. Instead of pictures being displayed in the posts automatically, there will be a link to the picture you're linking to. If someone is interested to see what you're linking to, they will have to click the link. Since signatures only show up once per thread, there isn't a lot that will be removed, anyway.

This forum is here, first and foremost, as an informational resource. That will never change. If signature pictures makes or breaks you wanting to be here, don't let the door hit you on the way out. I used to cruise the forum with sig pics off, but since I have to monitor a lot of things, it wasn't very practical.

I feel very strongly about the positive impact on the forum experience that removing sig pics will have. It unclutters threads. It will also force people that care to create more informative and more creative signatures with trusty old-fashioned text. It also will make the moderators' job easier, since there will not be any more policing or questions about judgement calls about this sig or that sig. Ultimately, this move allows moderators to focus their efforts on more important things.

Glad to see the sig pic GONE!!! It only creates chaos since most can't follow a simple rule or common courtesy size banner/pic.

This is gay. I can't have a pic of my car in my sig. I donated money last year. Why do people have to be, well, let's just say "unique" and post up pictures for political candidates, scantily clad girls, sexual references, etc etc etc...

As long as you can still post a pic in a thread to illustrate something, I'm all good with it.

Pics in threads is fine. SR20RACER, I suggest checking the contributors area for more information. There is a thread there about it.

I will do. I don't run a webiste so I can't really say but the other 10 car sites I check out don't seem to have an issue with sig pics, is this a mods choice or do they not work well with the type of site this is?
