man this sucks

my ac/heat only works on fan mode

it wont work from 1.2.3.4....

what the hell....

anyone got any tips on what i can do

i took it out and all the wires look fine, do i need a new harness?

u might need to buy a new enviromental control unit the prob might be internal

is the unit specific to nx2000? or will sentra b13 do the trick?

stuff that doesnt work sucks.

u might have a problem in your control unit like my93nx said. it might have a shortage in the unit that wont let it work until tu put it in fan mode. u can get a wiring diagram and look at the wires that go to the fan selector. hope that will help u out in some how.

the unit is not specfic to the nx. just about everything on the nx is interchangeable with the sentra but only 91-93 cause that is the only years thay made the nx but u can go to a salvage yard and get one out of a sentra and it will bolt and plug right in. but i have the same problem but my wont work on 4 i have to shove it in to place to work.

check the linkage for the selector, it might have pop off and not letting you turn if on properly..

it burns out, at least thats what happened to mine. you can actually see the burn marks on the fan switch from where the resistance was so great.

the part on the resitor that looks burnt out, all you have to do is bust out the soldering iron and solder it back in where its burnt out, and it'll work again. i had the same prob. onmy nx and it worked fine after i soldered in the fuse where it burnt out.

I have the entire under-dash center section and ducting sitting in my garage if you need it. . I have the fan also, but I had to take out the resistor for another car, that would need to be replaced to get 1,2,3,4 fan control back. (its like $14 I think).

Just a quick question, what is fan mode? Cause if it does not work in 1-2-3 or 4, the fan is not working. I am confused.

basically it wont work on 1,2,3,4, only when i turn it to the FAN thing, all teh way over to the right, then it comes out crazy hard core.

im serious pull out your heater blower switch and on the back of it you'll see a circuit board, then im posotive youll see part of the circuitry burnt out, get a soldering gun and tack it where its burnt out, and i bet money it'll work again.

basically my temp control wont work unless its on speed 4
speed 1, 2, 3 wont work

i took the thing out, it makes no sense its all tore up

Additionally, the air blowing through is deceiving...it has nothing to do with the blower when its set on fresh air.
