Dre is the man hands down. I recieved the part quickly and it was a perfect fit. Now hopefully my trans can stand up to my abusive set up :D If you don't own this part, go out have someone step on your clutch peddle, if you see the black bracket that holds the clutch cable flex forward, you need one. Better get it quick before your 3rd gear erupts into peices.

It's the black bracket I drescribed with a welded piece on it to hold it in place and keep it from flexing forward when you press the clutch peddle. If that doesn't make sence PM Dre. He will give you better info than I can anyway.

I dont remeber selling you that part but if you ran around for months without it and then put it on your tranny, then your tranny was already subject to the abuse without it. So it will not help if you have already started to wear away on the 3rd gear

Well you sold it to me about 6-7 months ago. This part was installed on a tranny that was cryo treated and it had 10 miles on it before it was put on my car with this part.

I was just trying to say that he can still possibly blow 3rd gear. I think I just have bad luck.

Bad memory on my part.

I had one of these on my stock tranny w/ street disc and Xtreme PP and never had any tranny issues. Hell, I even kept it on the PAR set for piece of mind.

The one thing to keep in mind is that we can break third gear either shifting into it or if we make enough torque we can break it while doing a rolling burn out from like 1K rpms in 3rd gear. In which case this part won't help you. I've broken it bothways. It will/should prevent you from breaking third while going into gear. That's why I purchased it.

^^^^Don't mean to keep adding my two cents but my 3rd gear broke as I was shifting into 3rd from 2nd.

With the bracket??????????

Thats what he is saying.

The bracket is designed to stop misshifts into and to make sure that you get a full clutch disengaugement when you shift gear. As we all know when you put a high performance clutch on your car you come up with a few problems. They are a very stiff clutch pedal, low clutch pedal disengaugement, and not being able to adjust the clitch properly. The pc solves these problems which helps in extending the life of your 3rd gear in your tranny.

The most common cause of 3rd gear failure is heavy preasure clutches do disengauging properly that cause a constant grind on the gear which eventyally leads to the failure of 3rd gear. The gear basically ends up missing teeth and you loose the use of 3rd gear.

I have one as well! Shifting is much firmer. :) If only this piece can save me from the 5th gear pop-out. :D
