Hello, I have a 00 Sentra SE and the dang thing won't start. It gave some weird sounds while starting for the last month, and now it won't start the car, but I hear the starter rotating. I found that the part # is 23300-4m801, but I need to first find the dang thing first. I looked all over the engine bay (topside) and I can't locate it.
I'm thinking that maybe it came loose and has backed out far enough not to make contact with the flywheel, cause I still hear the starter turning. Can someone help me out with locating it? After that I'll probably need some help as far as which other models' starters will fit this thing. Kragen isn't getting my $206 for a new one. Thanks.

The starter is under the intake manifold. You can see it if you crawl under the car. It is a pain in the ass to get at, expectly in a lowport. Any starter that belongs on a sr20 should fit and some misti starters, correct me if i am wrong.
