Oil was leaking from the timing chain tesioner, so I took it off to see what was wrong. The gasket was a little messed up so that explained why the oil was leaking out. Anyways I went to tighten it back on, and both studs sticking out of the head snaped. There is still stud sticking out(about 5-6mm worth). What should I do to get them out and where do I get new ones. Any suggestions are appreciated.

if you have that much to play with, put vise grips on them and try to turn them out, then get new studs.

lol, you really put your weight into those huh? That SUCKS. What a tight shitty area to drill out studs. Good luck!

Make sure to put a cover over your oil filter hole!! Or you will be wishing you did.

does anyone know if they turn out or pull straight out. I want to make sure I am going about it all the right way. Also anyone with a Nissan FSM, could you look up the part number for the studs.

This Happened To My Head... Pull The Head Off, Find A Machine Shop And Get Them To Get It Out.. Cost $50 And 5 Mins. And They Will Do It 100% Right. Or Else You Will Try And Vice It Out And Wont Work Then Try Drill And Tap And Wont Work And Then You Will End Up Screwing Something Else Up.. Just Trust Me On This. Spend 50
