Does anyone know how much lift the stock valve springs can hold before valve float occurs?
I know JWT S4's have a little over 11.5mm of lift and teh stock valve springs are fine with these cams!

I have the S4's and it sounds like the valves start to float after 7500. I want to upgrade to the JWT springs and retainers.

Wouldn't float be a function of ramp also, not just total lift? If the S4's had a really aggressive open and close profile they could probably make the valves float, but they were designed to work with the stock valve springs.
This is just what I think, not what I know for a fact. So it could be wrong.

I dont know how much JWT's springs sell for, but
if their over $240, then I would look at these. There supposed to be able to handle high lift long duration cams, there also used in Todas GT300 sylvia.
