Well, i have blown my first motor, yes too much nitrous through a dry setup is not good. Well i have decided to go with teh bluebird det. I have been advised that i will need to get the JWT ECU in order to run it properly. So what are the other essentials i will be needing so i know how much i'll need to get, such as 3 inch exhaust, front mount, etc etc. I already have the front mount, and i am planning on putting on a 3inch apex mendrel bent exhaust, JWT ecu, greddy BOV, and a greddy turbo timer. also will i have to upgrade any components of the fuel system? so any advice would be great.....thanks alot!

Well, before you go turbo, I'd learn as much as you can on how to tune it, what works, what doesn't, how turbos work, etc. If you blew your motor pumping too much nitrous, then you didn't know what you were doing. Not understanding the importance of fuel when you're going for big power is asking for trouble, and looks like you learned the hard way. Try to learn from what happened so you don't make a similar mistake again.

Not trying to be hard on you, but you pretty much spelled out why your motor blew in your post when you say if you had to upgrade any components in your fuel system. To me that sounds like you still have the stock fuel pump and probably the original fuel filter. How much of a dry shot did you pump in? What system were you running?

There's tons of info available on these boards (use the search option) and se-r.net archives on this type of stuff, especially relating to the BB DET. That's the best advice I can give you now...when you got more specific questions, we're ready for them! ;)

I had a fuel pressure regulator, it was about a 65-70 dry shot....problem was running similar to stock spark plugs, not the NGK'S......Andre, I am the one that called you the other night about the gti-r, bluebird installation info........i'll know for sure by the end of this week if we'll be doing the installation.......so i'll give you a call....thanks

Stock plugs are the NGK's, no?

Anyways, FPR's as a tuning tool is pretty much pissing in the wind for fuel management.

Well, now that I see you're hooking up with Andreas for tuning, I know you'll be alright. ;)
