does anyone know if projector lights for the 200sx are illegal..? im in san diego, CAlifornia.. im not sure.. i know alot of people have them.. will i get hasseled for having them?:confused:

Yes they are illegal. They do not have a DOT or any approval #. Well my friend got a ticket for them here in southern california too. He didnt get it because of the DOT. He got it because of the lens having a shade of rainbow in it. Thats why. Hope this info helped.

i've had it for about a month now and never got a ticket for it. I guess as long as you have street legal bulbs, none of those RICER BLUE ONES, it would be ok. I am running PIAA 55W=85w on low beams and PIAA 55W=100W on high beams. It is pretty sick. I also have some DIAMOND BLUE foglights. It looks like a damn LEXUS GS300 at night. I didn't swap my corner lights to super white bulbs. I just left it auburn. I guess this helps for the cops to not notice me. The lights looks like they are HID at night.

was it just a fix it ticket? u have high beams.. when i use high beams my lights shut off, the fuse blew at first then i switched it to a 20 amp one and it didnt blow but when i click on high beam it just shuts off then goes back on when i click it off.. any ideas??

you got the wiring backwards.
What kinda projectors do you have ? is it nis-knacks. I can't remember the combinations, it's been a month but I am sure that's what happened. When you turn lights on to low beams , both lights go on; when you turn high beams, middle light goes off. If this is the case you have to rewire your projectors .

he has instructions but I am definitely sure about your case it was wired backwards. It happened to me before.

It was a fix it ticket and the normal sign off fee which is $10. I had mine for a very long time and never got a ticket I guess my friend was just unlucky. You know how cops are when they wanna nail you for anything.

ps: there are 3 wires.
i think they are nis knacks.. i got them off chreed .,.traded them for my stock ones.. there are two bulbs... they are both on normally and when i hit brights they both go out.. then back on when low is on..
