I'm wondering how many people are running stock internals on a DE motor and what kind of longjevity people have experienced. Also what kind of boost everyone is running. Thinking of going to forged internals. I've been running stock internals for a year now.

the internals are very stong, read more on their limitations...what is your setup and what are your goals?

I have had mine boosted for almost 2 years now and I haven't had any major mechanical problems. I run 10psi daily and my high boost button with water injection is 18psi. This gets me over 300whp on pump gas. With the right set-up you can get good reliable power out of a turbo DE and have it last.

3000 is a bit on the upwards end of the spectrum though.

I'm currently running JWT ecu programed for cobra maf, 3 bar, 50lb msd, 9.5:1 with a
T3/T04E 57trim, HKS standard wastegate, HKS SSQV, Spearco fmi, custom aluminium
piping, 3 in custom dp, no cat, 3in catback to apexi dunk muff, HKS EVC. I run 9psi on the low boost seting and 14 on high. I've read alot about the stock internals limits but I'm mostly currious about thier life span running boost like that. Have any of you had to do a head gasket yet? My car is in Nissanperformancemag.com this month if you want to see the car. Go to this months issue inthe top left corner then scroll down to SE-R Cup East Coast Action. Click on the black B13 for a bigger pic.

They are fine to like 400whp, i don't thing you are up that far with that setup. Are you noticing problems or something?

I thought I had some bad rings but the tubine seal was leaking. Got a new turbo and I'm just kind of paranoid. I've had a few other problems like a bad ecu and then a clogged fuel filter. So I'm always paranoid.

We have alot of cars down here in FL that have been running around on stock DE internals for years with no problems.

My car is from Florida. It was set up by Ruff Racing. Luis sold me the car. I paid too much, but I would have never found a B13 that rust free and I wanted a B13 then and he posted pics from when the car was set up and the car had to be driven for a couple of years since it was set up. I love the car and it was a learning experience.

I've been turbo for about 3 years; you will have zero reliability problems as long as your fuel management is good. 20psi is about the number for the limit of the stock head gasket. Wouldn't be a bad idea to upgrade the internals at the point too. But guys have been making 350-400whp all day long on DEs.
