Who's got em, lets see em!

Seriously though, if anyone has dyno charts from their FWD DET, please share them. I'm curious what the most anyone has gotten out of a BB DET was. I think the most i saw was 240whp.

Here's mine...

Stock BB DET at stock boost (6.5 psi). Only differences were my FMIC and a 3" exhaust system. 194 HP, 188 lb-ft of torque. To get more HP like 240 whp, you'd have to increase the boost.

Woohoo!! I like those numbers. Now i can't wait till I go turbo. I'm tired of my slow 150hp.

I think that guy w/ the 11.98sec NX on the DET w/ T25 claimed around 270ish?

I will try to get someone to scan mine till then here are the #'s

218hp and 219 TQ
peak torque was at 4700
peak HP was around 5600

that was at 11psi (BOV leaked down to 10 during the run )

this was done with the TPIC (interheater) and a 2.5 inch crush bent exhaust w/ cat

he never claimed anything.. he lost interest due to the fact that there were too many haters that did not believe that he did what he did with the setup he had.

the car was dyno'd and both numbers were in the 270's...
if anyone is seriously interested I might be able to aquire dyno charts

David that's BS! He made claims that were way out of line with the norm, and then changed the story as it went along and his card got pulled.

We only asked for some hard facts to back up his outrageous claims. We were not "haters" as the rice boys call it. We are people who work damn hard to get where we got, and don't take BS very well. His times ARE impressive, we just wanted the whole story. If he did that on a T25 and a 50shot I would still be very impressed.

If he chose to bury his head in the sand and give up that's his own damn fault. Winners don't quit.

Hmmm, not bad, not bad at all. Figure no cat, 3" exhaust, you would be around 230whp or so at least at only 11psi.

In case you guys are wondering, I'm putting a DET in my daily driver. 92 SE-R...here we go again! ;) :D

400 hp was to much for you or what?

Are you trying to be the first person to turbo every US sr20 car?

lets see

200sx (check)
classic (check)
nx ( )
g20( )

I was thinking of going the same route Jay. The only thing I'm afraid of is fueling bad driving habits of mine....:( I'm debating on the turbo. It seems like the best bang for the buck mod though. And these numbers are tempting.....

I meant he made no HP claims. The story was told through several people and it was a bit foggy and anyone following could get confused and I give you that much.

I offered to fly someone up here and have em check the setup out and no one even bit at it.
There was no NOS involved, just boost.

It will be interesting to see what he does next season.. he is going to a larger turbo and having a custom exhaust manifold made I believe.

hey jay,
have you sourced out an engine yet? I am planning on going the same route. maybe we can find a place that will knock a few bucks off the price if we buy in bulk (maybe we can save on shipping?).

I too have been tempted to do this to my P10. My only draw back are the smog issues. I've had a B13 turbo before and somehow lost interest... ..sold the system and the B13. I recently purchased a G20T, but I think it can really use some booooost..

David, give Jay some credit... those numbers would be near impossible if the only things done to the operation of that car were what has been stated.... if the whole story hasn't been told (which it hasn't) then it probably shouldn't be brought up or defended, when many people have put in a lot of hard time and effort to reach their goals.... only to see things like this come up

Hey guys, I spoke to Jason G Young who is a poster in this forum and he sells BB DETs for $1800 shipped (last time I checked). I'm trying to get my install done by him also. His labor charge was about $750. (He lives in Va). If you guys can get a better deal, I'd definitely be interested.

I just did a small (4 motors) local group deal on BB DET's and associated install parts and I got them *alot* cheaper than 1800.

Email me (or private message me) if you are interested!

Yea, I know what the general cost on them is...so there is surely room to move. I'm trying to get mine before they get as popular as the H motors and the price shoots up. :D
