Hey guys...Just wanted to let you all know (especially you Midwest people) about a new shop that opened here in Indy. Check it out a www.okinawaimportmotorsports.com

This is the place where I plan on buying my DET when the car finally gets here. I went to their grand opening and spoke to Brian, the co-owner and mechanic, for a couple hours. This guy really knows his stuff. He worked in Japan as a Nissan tech for 9 years (i think that's what it was). He's a cool guy...very honest...and has already answered a dozen or so questions for me. I don't mind giving them a little plug here because they seem to be good people to do business with. So I'm trying to help them get started and help all of you if you're looking for a place to buy a DET and get a little tech help when it comes time for the install.

Enjoy!:D

Very attractive pricing, but that kind of worries me as most people who have done dealing with companies with cheaper prices tend to get the shaft..has anyone had any dealings with this company yet....

I haven't dealt with them yet...I'm not sure that anyone has bought an engine from them yey because they are so new. Anyway, they're number one on my list once I'm ready to do the swap. The experience and expertise is what has attracted me to them. I think the reason behind the low prices is an inside contact in Japan. The guys that own the place worked there for quite a few years. After talking to them, I'm pretty impressed. If nothing else, they said they'll help me through the swap even if I get the engine elsewhere. Cool guys IMO.

I'll let you guys know more after I have worked with them.

Sounds good, I emailed Brian and will see what his response is, a good technical contact thats available is always a plus to any type of work on a car, that in itself would probably be worth paying a little extra for anything..

Thanks,
