OK guys, I need some cheap horsepower, I mean dirt cheap. Wow, three military Hueys just flew over my house, and I am not really near a base! Anyway, back to the subject at hand, I already know about MAF regrounding and the timing adjustment, what else can I do that is dirt cheap.

Great idea. You can make a noticeable difference in performance with weight reduction.

What is exactly "Dirt Cheap"? $50, $100, $150???

The stock airbox can be modded easily, and it sounds cool. See what I did:

I heard those, too. They passed over the campus going to...what?

Don't hack up your airbox, just take the bottom off and wire/ziptie the filter the the top part. Turn over the airbox to expose your air filter and you have a cosmetic mod too! :D LOL

Mine works like stock, it looks stealth, and it scares old people 8% more than a comparable duct taped or zip-tied ghetto-mod airbox.

I'm keeping my car forever, or until it becomes a rusted, Sentra-shaped heaped. Even if I wanted to, I couldn't return my car to stock because I melted all the removed pieces into a small cube and sent it to Ralph Nader.

take the slack out of the throttle cable, dose not add hp but makes the car respond faster :D and there's that wayne cox hp trick taking the slack out of the distributor. go hear to read about it http://www.se-r.net/engine/wc_hp_trick.html

is reducing the weight really adding horsepower??? :D about as much as my weapon-r sticker ehh???

cheap horsepower = get a cone filter and an adapter for it off ebay or something. also, if you know the right people, getting a custom done exhaust can cost you no more than 150-200, sure to add some hp. might lose a little torque down low ***...

Vanx..... http://wsphotofews.excite.com/031/Ef/i7/T9/CA57630.jpg is an "okay" picture of my car if ya wanna check out the wheels. I got my exhaust so cheap cause a buddy of mine works at midas, and exhaust piping just really is cheap as hell. He did all the custom crush bends pretty much free. And i had already bought my arospeed muffler, i reccommend you check out the tunable bomb muffler, its affordable and it kicks ass (nice and low, bassy sounding). Maybe i just got my stuff done cheap cause i knew someone. but just get on someone's good side that works at an exhaust shop. you might be surprised as to the discounts theyll give ya...:)
