ferrari4a 11-20-2004, 12:40 AM http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/255353/7 i bought this turbo from ebay thinking that it was a gt28rs but w/ the help of other forum numbers my suspicions were proven true that it is not a disco potato. but now i dont know what it is, i need help figuring out what it is. it has been suggested that it could be a gt2871r but still not sure, here are the pics

i have tried looking online, i looked through the garret catalogue and nothing, i even called ben @jwt, he couldn't tell me what it is either. i was hoping you guys can compare the serial number of the turbo to the ones you have. thanks in advance
the serial number i have on my turbo is
715583-5006
i wanna trade this turbo for a disco potato
nizzan4u2nv 11-20-2004, 12:58 AM Im not sure what turbo it is, but id take a gt2871r over a disco potato though.
spdracerUT 11-20-2004, 01:20 AM I think it's a GT35R

Either way... it's BIG. It'll take a while to spool. And if you wanted the quick spool of the DP turbo, this is far from it.
ferrari4a 11-20-2004, 02:14 AM could it be a t3/t4, can anyone read me their serial number please
ferrari4a 11-23-2004, 01:15 AM a serial number off of the t3/t4 or a gt35r would be helpful
ferrari4a 11-25-2004, 01:06 PM anyone?
Slow 96R 11-25-2004, 09:09 PM Hmm, have you tried contacting APR or some turbo junkies? Somebody has got to know what it is. Howabout who you brought it from? What did he say it was? PM me with all of the #'s off of it. TY
ferrari4a 11-25-2004, 09:40 PM yea i called atp, they were of no help at all, i called ben @jwt , he called me back after 3 hours all confused himself. they guy i bought it from scammed everyone and now doesn't return emails
supercowboy 11-25-2004, 10:00 PM definetly a t3t4. If you take the turbo apart and measure the inducer and exducer I can tell you what you have. gt and t28 series turbos are mostly water cooled also. You do have a 70 ar compressor which is huge.
ferrari4a 11-25-2004, 10:53 PM that doesn't sound good
RUTH'LESS 200sx 11-25-2004, 11:38 PM How much did you pay for the turbo. you could try precision turbo with that part number. Its definitely a t3/t4 cause of the t04s cover that it has. It could either be a gt30r or a gt35r with a t04s compressor cover, what size is the exhaust housing by the way.
trinispeed 11-26-2004, 12:19 AM when you figure out what it is be sure to let us know

insane imports 11-26-2004, 04:00 AM Damn thats a big turbo! You should give a good listing to the #'s on the tag and i can prob help you out. I have plenty of friends that sell lots of aftermarket turbos that could help. Just give me all the #'s off the turbo and the tags and i can give you some help with it.
later,Jon
