Hello All,

While driving my car home, a friend saw white smoke come from the tail pipe. My friend informed me that when I was driving my car hard (between 5000 and 6000 RPM). Two weeks ago I checked the dipstick and it was down half a quart of oil and today when I checked the oil it was down to the add oil mark.

I have checked the outside of engine for any oil leaks and did not find any.

Any suggestions or thoughts as to what is the problem?

White smoke is generally steam...from coolant. Sounds like a head gasket.
