LateNightCustom 01-15-2007, 06:49 PM These are reman B14 LSD axles... well the one of the 2 pictured, I got both new reman B14 LSD axles, the pass side went in no prob, but the drivers side... Oiy.

I give it a good whack, and feels like it seats... or at least I think it does. The circlip seats into it's spot and this is how far it sits out.... :squint: I can't get it to move any more, nor do I want to try....

I tought all B15 axle are differnt from B13/B14. If i recall correctley, you need a B13/B14 LSD Drivers Axle, not B15
LateNightCustom 01-17-2007, 04:50 AM well... I will assure you that that B15 LSD axle fit in a 2001 LSD B15 Trans, and a B14 NON LSD hub :jammin: :melonscratcher: Kevin and I played with that car, trans and axles for about... a long time :squint:

nope, all LSD equipped B13-B15 cars have the same drivers axle. They all cross reference. Just remember to remove the ABS ring before you install :D
and I know that all B13-B14 pass side axles are the same, dunno about the B15 pass side axle ***.
Non LSD drivers axle on top, LSD Axle on bottom. the trans spindles are on the right. Note the longer spindle on the LSD axle. Also, the LSD axle is about 2 inches shorter from axle seal to axle seal.

what company? Do they ship international?
Bull GTi 06-01-2007, 01:25 PM To be honest I don't think they realised what they had.
They only had the one late P11 in their yard, but if another comes in, I said for them to give me a call.
If I get another one, I will let you know!
Cheers

hpro123 06-02-2007, 04:21 AM Dave, please let us know! Shipping to Greece via some poor road-cargo company might make this worth it!!!
Is it a V or and A tranny?
Can you PLEASE take pics of yours and LOTS of them?
93sr20de420 06-04-2007, 12:50 PM will a 5speed trand out of a 1.6LGA motor bolt up to the sr20 (trans just took a crap)
GregV 06-04-2007, 01:06 PM In a word, No.
Bull GTi 06-04-2007, 05:37 PM It's an A transmission, as you put it.
I wanted an open diff. model as I have the NISMO LSD for the open diff. transmission.
Let's hope it fits...LOL!
Bull GTi 06-06-2007, 02:11 PM OK today was the day for my and my friend, Ryan, to do the transmission swap.
After ripping apart the whole front end to get the transmission out (no, I can't just take out the tranny, because some idiot installed the SR20 into a car that was never designed for it...LOL!) we pulled apart the stock B14 type tranny to salvage the NISMO LSD.
Upon draining the oil we found several large pieces of metal and the oil was a silvery, grey colour...looks like we got it out just in time. Upon inspection, a number of gears had small chips, including 3rd gear which also had numerous chips and we were both suprised that it has lasted this long.
Anyways, we pulled the NISMO diff. from the B14 tranny and started to pull apart the late P11 tranny.
The only issue we had was getting the annoying clips off the selector forks...apart from that it was easy as pie!
This is where it got a tad worrying...
We compared the two diff's and found the bearings to be the same and all the measurements to be the same, apart from the bolts used to fit the final drive ring gear to the LSD. On the old final drive (B14) the bolts were approx. 12.5mm in diameter and on the new final drive (P11) the bolts are approx. 10.5mm in diameter.
So it looks like we will be drilling the final drive gear to accept the larger bolts.
ANYONE GOT SOME SHARP DRILLS?
Cheers
Dave
P.S. Sorry for no pictures!
Bull GTi 06-07-2007, 03:42 PM Right, we got the final drive bolt holes drilled out and secured the gear to the NISMO diff.
The transmission is back together and we are getting all the gears OK, so it looks likes it works fine!

DONE & DONE! (Sorry about the camera phone quality)
unijabnx2000 06-12-2007, 09:11 AM Sensors
-The reverse and neutral position sensor from the B13 are sized differently than the P11 sensors and can't be swapped. The harnesses are also different.
*I've yet to tackle this, but I plan on rewiring my B13 with the correct harnesses to fit the P11 sensors. Stay tuned for wiring details and part numbers.
Has the wiring details been added yet? I dont remember seeing it.
camarok 06-12-2007, 01:41 PM Hey, what is the front sensor... the blue one pictured? I would assume the neutral switch, and the other is the reverse ( back side of trans )? I need to know because the NOT blue one is broke, and I need to order a new one. THanks!
EDIT:
I think that would be the reverse switch?
Yellow4g63 07-05-2007, 12:44 PM Anyone know if the B13-B14 reverse switch will go into the B15 trans? Not having a revese light is killing me.
