Big Boost 12-03-2001, 08:58 AM At what point will the 6AL not be able to burn the A/F mixture? Would it be a horsepower point or a static compression ratio? I am trying to see if I need to upgrade to the 7AL to properly ignite my 72lb injectors and larger turbo combination. Any insight or experience? Thanks. Rob TurbochargedSER 12-03-2001, 01:21 PM I have been problems with the 6A with any thing past 19 psi. The 7AL is a great ignition for a Drag Only car, but it could be too much for a street car. The Digital 6 and 7 are both rated at 535v just like the 7AL. These are designed to be used on a street car. You should probably look into the Digital series ignitions if you aren't going Drag Only!
