Does this work perfectly with the KA harness and ECU? I heard the ECU was almost identical to the NA SR20DE ECU. Also, do you use the KA maf or the SR maf? If you have a S13 SR20DE, can you use it with a S14 KA harness? What about a S14 SR20DE, can you use it with a S13 KA harness? What do I have to change?

Alas, i have heard the rumor too. Shortly I will be able to tell you. Im gonna plug it into my KA harness, and see if she runs. I too would like to know the answer to these questions.

Travis Burelle is the man on this topic. He used a NA block on his S13.

Please chime in, Travis. Inquiring minds want to know this info.

Thanks man. Please keep me updated. Also, did your SR20DE come with an exhaust manifold?

Any news about this?

93 SR ecu left vs. 91 KA ecu on the right....same motherboard #, in addition to every part being identical.

So if you ask me, its probably just a matter of placing new code, or maybe switching sensors, or both, if at all possible.

'89-90 ecus are what I'm questioning, Jason. IIRC, the '89-90s used 8-bit and the '91-up went 16-bit. Or some electronics gobbledy-gook like that.

Its interesting to compare the SR20DE silvia pinout on the ECU to the KA pin out....

Here's a pic of the ever so rare *har har* SR20DE RWD S13 ECU.

Let us gander at it. I notice my ECU has a different numbering on the board itself.

Instead of A12-001 B57, I have A12-001 C65

Interesting. Heres a pic of the sticker on it too, just for shiats and giggles.

Discuss.

Just to add to the confusion I am running an S14 SR20DE with an S13 SR20DET ECU, harness and ign system.

Upon further investigation, it appears as if my ecu is missing an integrated IC, I forget the technical term for it... The missing thing QA 463? Its the one next to QA462

Anyhow its a 10 legged IC, and its "twin" appears to be missing. Anyone know what the missing IC, the one in the KA, and SR FWD go to?

I could use a pin out diagram in english for the KA motor, SR motor, and my RWD DE ecu to help unravel some mysteries!!

VVT is non-op unless I want to get an external controler for it, don't want to because I am building an S13 head with ITBs for later use anyway... but it is basically a 10:1 compression SR20DE runing on SR20DET electronics and no turbo. :biggthump I'll take some pics next time I have my hood off. I changed a very small amount of wiring because I went from s13 to s14 motor. But I did go from turbo to NA. I also used S13 SR20DET injectors and S13 SR20DET throttle body because they are bigger.
