: Adjusting Feuling
vzr n1 12-10-2004, 06:01 PM Hi there,
have a sr16ve n1, was just wondering is there any way of adjusting the feuling so i have have the car slightly over feuling, cheers
SER96VPEC 12-10-2004, 06:40 PM Fuel pressure regulator. Nismo has a couple that bolt on to the fuel rail but not sure if the VE fuel rail is the same. Maybe someone can chime in. I still have the box to my my fpr, I can check the insert that came with it, it lists the applications on it.
evldan 12-10-2004, 11:21 PM yeah but you would need 2 of those as the N1 has 2 sets of fuel rails each with 4 x 330cc injectors!
If anything it waaaay overfuels now, why do you want to add more?
vzr n1 12-11-2004, 11:07 AM the reason i want more fuell is for flames!, put a kit on it but the car wasn't over fueling enough,
anyway advanced the timing slightly today to make it over fuel a little more, its now set at 15 degrees and is over fueling a little more, the biggest thing i noticed was it pulls much better from 3000rpm, with the addition of flames, and no pinging either.
vvl ireland 12-11-2004, 11:54 AM thought over fueling slows car up. like mine for example from rolling road they said it was getting too much fuel thats why performance was down.

The N1 has eight injectors?
vzr n1 12-11-2004, 01:55 PM im not sure man, i got my timing advanced today and seems to pull much better!
garyd 12-11-2004, 06:18 PM No offense, but thats some of the stupidest shit ive heard on here, ok maybe not as bad as sr20boy. You do realise if you run too rich you could end up doing damage to your engine dont you. Go get a civic if you want to be 'sick' an n1 is a quick car not a rice box
garyd 12-11-2004, 06:19 PM im not sure man, i got my timing advanced today and seems to pull much better!
By advancing the timing, youre more than likely making the car run leaner, not richer (which is what you want if u want flames)
vzr n1 12-12-2004, 02:29 AM well thats not was i was told, if you have nothing good to say dont bother replying to my post ok, i dont give a shit what you want, the flaming kit is a bit of fun thats all, if you dont like that that thats up to you, i happen to like it, who the hell are you the say its stupid!!!!!!!!!!
SneakyMilo 12-12-2004, 03:59 AM I thought you had to run NAWS! to shoot flames.....
Now I am just confused.
On a serious note..... Don't jepardize such a wonderful engine for such a silly reason. If you can't get the flames to shoot, don't monkey with richening the fueling just for the effect. It will make your engine run rough, hurt gas mileage, lose power, and possibly damage it.
madandy 12-12-2004, 05:06 AM If you run her too rich for the sake of some flame action you risk bore wash and a damn good flaming on this forum for being so childish as to rice an N1 for some coolness you already have just by driving the car!
vzr n1 12-12-2004, 09:55 AM ive advanced the timing and the car is running better than ever im leaving at that, the flames is something different and its working fine now.
garyd 12-12-2004, 03:55 PM Just be careful it doesnt start to ping. I imagine nissan tuned it fairly close to its limits
vzr n1 12-13-2004, 01:55 PM yeah it was starting to ping at about 17 degrees, its at 15 now and seems fine and im adding octaine booster to the fuel too just to be sure.
evldan 12-13-2004, 02:38 PM A flame kit like Andy's on the Almera forums? (picture below)....if it is maybe see if he can give some tips (his engine seems to still be going fine)

garyd 12-13-2004, 03:51 PM isnt 15* standard?
vzr n1 12-13-2004, 04:03 PM @ evldan, couldn't see what kind of kit that was an error kept coming up on the page.
the timing for the n1 is 10deg +/- 2geg, mine was at 12 its now at 15deg
evldan 12-13-2004, 04:20 PM @ evldan, couldn't see what kind of kit that was an error kept coming up on the page.
It's just a picture of his car....sorry I have no idea what his kit is (try getting in touch with him, he should know :D )
