Hi can someone clarify the specs of UK low port red top non-RR FWD (Primera eGT) cams for me ??
According to the cam list a low port intake cam is 232° duration with 8.66mm lift. The 1994 G20 FSM says they have 240° duration with 9.2mm lift (but it doesn't specifiy what lift the measurement is started/ended with). The 232° 8.66 is the spec in the '00 G20 which is RR....
The only spec I have for my cam is the lobe height given in the haynes manual, it lists two cams. The first one (SR20De or Di) is exactly the same as the '94 G20 intake cam , the second one (SR20DE) has a lobe height of 0.488mm more.
Would I gain anything by swapping to a US 91 intake cam ??
Is it possible to use a RR cam in my engine and get more lift (will it damage the cam/rocker) ??
Btw...I have emailed a UK Nissan dealer to get the duration and lift of the high and low port red top intake cams......
