I was thinking of getting this turbo setup for my sr20 daily driver.

I was just going to get it set up and add a turbo timer and maybe a boost controller. But the wastegate is set for 6psi so would I even need a boost controller?

Is this what would be called a light pressure turbo setup?

I'm not looking for massive power (not over 200hp), I just want a cheap and simple turbo setup that will be safe to run.

Am I crazy for considering doing this without an IC, BOV and boost controller?

Thanks for your help - sorry Im a noob I have tried to read all I can find that is applicable to this sort of setup...

Yes, you are crazy. For $2995, you can do better and spend less. The 'black box' FMU they offer is a scary way to manage fuel.

Hit the FAQ here and read up. In addition, you can see how I did it at www.turbochargedse-r.com/home.html and click on my turbo install, down at the bottom.

^Problem is im in the UK.

I can get a T-25 with a manifold for equivalent of $200 a top mount IC for another $120. Then I can get the Emanage ecu upgrade, a turbo timer, a boost guage and manual boost controller. All the piping/hoses/lines.

Is there a standard wastegate setting for the T-25?

Do I absolutely need upgraded injectors?
Do I need an upgraded fuel pump?
Do I need a BOV?

Thanks for helping a noob :)

I'm don't have a turbo but have read enough posts to know two of these.

The stock 259cc injectors would be either at the ragged edge, or out of it at 200hp. 370cc injectors are considered mandatory.

I've heard of people using the stock fuel pump, but not for long. Again if you want it to be safe you'll want an upgraded fuel pump, and an in-line adjustable fuel pressure gauge would be really nice.

one place to start and get ideas. fuel pump upgrade and an adjustable FPR (Nismo bolts right in) are also recommended for safety, but not truely necessary at 7psi.

Oh, 370cc injectors and a BOV so you don't kill your turbo. BOVs are cheap (factory ones, Nissan, Mitshubishi, etc ).

Im going to get that T-25 kit from JGY without the intercooler, spend the money on a Greddy emanage ecu. Then I can get a topmount IC from a gti-r. Then just a turbo timer and a boost guage. Thats all I hope to spend.

1. Do I need a manual boost controller? Or will I be safe at the stock wastegate of 7psi?

2. Can I use a stock BOV from a gti-r and mount it to the T-25 or do I need a flange?

3. Do I need to spend more money on gaskets or anything else essential?

Thanks again.

I hope you don't literally mean mount a blow-off valve to your T25 turbo. To answer your question, a stock Bluebird or GTi-R blow-off valve will work just fine.
