MTX TA3404 versus JL Audio EA4300
I'm shopping for an inexpensive ($~200) 4Ch amp to be used in my Datsun convertible which is about the size of a Miata.
The 4Ch amp will be powering up a set of 6.5 seperates and a pair 5.25 coaxials.
The JL is rated at: 45W RMS x 4 @ 4 ohm (12.5V)
The MTX is rated at: 50w RMS x4 @ 4 ohm (14.4V)
Theoretically, the JL E4300 is the stronger amp at 14.4V (when driving, cruising, etc). But the MTX amp looks to be of a better build quality.
Which amp (MTX/JL) would suit my needs the best? I'm looking for something that can let me hear my music over the wind noise @70mph. Not trying to look for absolute 100% audiophile goodness.
If not mtx/jl, your suggestions are welcomed. (4Ch amp, ~50-60W RMS, ~$200)
Thanks in advance!
