Hey everyone, I just picked up some autometer carbon fiber style gauges from a forum member. I bought a Volt and Air/Fuel Ratio gauges. The instructions did not come with the sale.
Was wondering if any one could give me a short detail on wiring the A/F ratio gauge? If it helps, I have 3 wires coming from the O2 sensor if that helps.
Do I have to cut all 3 O2 wires and test one at a time?
Is there an easier way or trick I can do instead?
Any info would be greatly appreciated! I'm tired, and have searched long enough, I just want these in already.
Thanks!

P.S-I own a 1991 NX2K

Hi Ryan,
It's not there is anything wrong with your particular gauge, it's all the gauges like yours. These type of gauges don't give you any real useful information. A wideband O2 will give you readings b/t 0 and 5 V. Most will give readings b/t 0 and 1V.
Because the a/f gauge only gives you blinking lights, it doesn't give any numbers as to what is your actual a/f ratio.
it would be pretty retarded to tap it at the sensor, why have a long ass wire hangin out in your engine bay and then have to put it through your firewall. i would be much cleaner to do it at the ecu, i suggust dissconecting the harness from the ecu, taking the backing piece off of the harness so you can see where each wire comes from, tap into it however you chose put the cover thing back on and your splice is invisible. clean then you only have to have a few feet of wire going to wherever you have the disco light.
does the cig lighter work when the car is off, or is it an igniton signal? check before using it, i have my gauges taped into the radio power.
for any other gauges with back lights you can wire them to the dimmer... they have to ground to the dimmer also though
