Look into the new Elemental Designs SQ10 - it is a 10" slim sub, and requires very little airspace. I'm going to fiberglass the side pockets in the trunk and install two of them.

For me - ED 6500 separates up front, Infiniti 6.5" midbass drivers, 2 SQ10 slimline subs off a Pioneer HU, with ED nine.4 amp on the fronts and midbass, and a nine.2 on the SQ10s.

nothing special

1999 Nissan Frontier

Jvc mp3 compatible headunit
Diamond D6600.4
Diamond D651a/D651s 6 inch with silk tweets

Going to be putting the sub from my pathy into the frontier, which I will be building another fiberglass box for it
the amp would be
Diamond D3600.1 not much but good for me
and a Diamond D612D2/D612D4 sub

The fiberglass box I made for my old 95 pathfinder, frontier is not to the point of concerning audio.

I'm always happy so see more and more people going with eD, and with that, some of my past eD glory

Sealed I wasn't as impressed, it was tight and punchy for sure, but not nearly as loud...Ala...

That's my old eD 15AE below that

A nice shot of the sexy NINe.2...

And just a few more pics of eD glory,

My older eD 15A...Nomex goodness...oh how I miss her

Some excursion porn...

i have found if you have a good sub in bad <good dosent mean big...it means clear and tight) and a good set of speakers up front buying rear speakers is a waist of money.

right now i have an pioneer head unit (forget the modle, but it was the mid grade flip down face, mp3 player, with remote) JBL GTO 6.5's in front. a JBL GTO 12 inch sub cone. i built the box to be a sealed 1cubic foot internal, filled with pillow stuffing and an alpine v12 amp pushing around 300rms or so and my system will blow your mind for only 3 speakers total.

get a set of component speakers up front and an amp just for those and damn youve got some kickin tunes.

not to be a post whore........but what the hell!

i have seen atleast 3 posts in my 5 minutes of looking of people saying "i have eclibs subs" but then the tossed a POS amp like Pyramid or lanzar in there? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU, and if i see one more person say they have duel im gona flip out lol. i had an 800watt duel amp for awile and then bought my 4ohm 150rms alpine amp and was BLOWN....A....WAY buy how much better it sounded. now that i got a 2ohm sub i can rock 300rms and it is 1000 times louder than my duel ever was and crystle clear. so please, all of you do your self a huge favor and drop some same where it counts.

its like having a brand new disco potato turbo and a 2 inch stock exhaust and air box still attached.........the turbo is pointless.

I have the following:

-JVC 45W x 4 CD Deck with Detachable Faceplate

Model: KD-DV4200

-Jenson front 6.5'' 180 watts each

-Pioneer rears 6.5'' 200? watts each

-Small 10'' sub in box fits in the corner snug

-400 watt Audiobahn amp

Its a decent setup. Gives me enough thump. I will eventually get some real nice quality stuff but for now it satisfies me.

That's all that matters even if it is made by Lanzar , Pyle , Dual or any other budget brand.......this was in reply for the previous post. Some people think brands that we are accustomed to being labeled top shelf products(Kicker,Alpine,,Rockford Fosgate,Eclipse etc....) are really just mediocre.

beleive me it dosent have to be name brand/sold at best buy. it just bothers me to see a full list of very impressive components then skimp on one of the most important parts. just keep your eye out, and if you see a good amp for on sale please do your self a favor and snatch it up. i can garuntee you you wont be upset.

What I'm saying is that even Lanzar, Profile, Power Acoustic, etc... make good amps. It isn't skimping to run a Lanzar amp on an Eclipse sub. Given the same charachteristics an Alpine amp that pushes 100watts rms@4ohms with .1% THD will sound the same as a Lanzar amp with an output of 100watts rms@4ohms with .1% THD.

What I consider skimping is $300 sub amp, 2 $300 subs, $300 H/U, and then they wrap it all around a set of wal-mart $30 Co-axials powered off another $200 amp.

idk. when i see lanzar, pyle, duel. i just think crap. maybe they have started making better parts? and im not a name brand person. i dont buy polk, alpine, and eclipse because thats the cool stuff to buy, i just find awsome sales at best buy from time to time on older modles. if i had the money for brand new stuff i would love diamond audio, Ed, or pheonix gold.

Guys, let's not go criticizing each other's setups. I just want to see what everyone else has got, what kind of car its in, and how much they like it, okay?
