You should put sound deadening (Dynamat) on the trunk lid & any other place that rattles.

There is a point when your subs are so loud that they drown out the rattles.... you just need a louder sub/amp combo.

Alternatively, Dynamat (overpriced IMO) or similar should solve your problem... also, take of the lisence plate and see if that makes a diff. If it does, you need to do some sound insulation there.

Go to home depot buy spray foam. Cover your trunk with a drop cloth (it gets messy). Remove your trunk panels, and spray a little in every hole. The reason why I say spray a little is it expands in a couple seconds, so be careful.

Right now im in the process of installing dynamat along with those foam baffles crutchfield sells. This should stop the rattling of my door speakers and the deck speakers. Also I would consider tieing down any loose wires in your trunk with zipties due to amp instalation or speaker installation. Im my system these wires made this real hi pitch rattle which no one bearly nitices but it bothered me so.
