-----------3----------- Well this isn't what we thought it was

lol, ya i knew that was the antenna. But hmmm, I wonder where that little fella goes? I haven't noticed any malfunction in my heating or cooling.
It goes back up into the dash towards the steering wheel/guage cluster.

the inside of those parts tend to break after the cable gets more or less seized. could be one of the pulls that seperates the recirculated air from the outside air inlet. just speculation though.

DING DING we have a winner the 3 is the cable that connects to your filter box behind the glove box that controls the fresh air or reciculated air...

lol not really because now you gotta get a new air control center because your re-circulation thing is bustigated. make sure when you get a new one to lube that sucka up with lithium grease (NOT WD-40!). I hated changing these, but be dang careful with your pliers to save the clips that hold the sheathing in place, as they fly everywhere!

hmmm, well i dont think that was the correct answer for number 3. I was doing some testing today and when i would turn the recirculation off and the fan off, I could feel air coming through the vents. When the recirculation was on there was nothing coming through... hmmmm

if the blue and white wires are really thin...like thinner than the radio wiring or any other wiring back there for that matter, it could be from an alarm l.e.d. i know when i installed my alarm the l.e.d. had a blue and red wire running to it. it seriously had only a dozen or so individuals strands within the sheilding (just to give you an idea of how thin the wire is/might be)

On the B14, that function is controlled by an electric motor mounted near the flapper behind the glove box.
