Radio cuts out and lights dim

When I press the brake the radio cuts out and the lights dim significantly, but the motor doesn't skip a beat. It's only for a split second and it only happens once in a blue moon. I already replaced the alternator when I did my engine swap, although it was a used one.

Any ideas??

Yeah, it's a ground. I've had that happen on 2 of my cars now. In both cases I replaced the negative battery cable and that fixed it.

It might be the ground going directly to the battery. I tried to start the car yesterday when I was leaving work and the car had no power.

Popped the hood, and the ground cable was loose going to the battery.

Thanks for the help.
