Split preamp outputs with "y" connectors?

Heres the deal, I'm sort of an audio newbie. I've put aftermarket speakers and head units in almost every car I've had but thats the extent of my experience. I'm finally getting around to installing some stuff I've had sitting around for *years* lol!

I'm going to use the front and rear rca line level outputs from my headunit. The thing is though I need to input to both a 4 channel amp *and* an infinity basslink. Can I split the outputs with "y" connectors so I can use them for both components?

I guess my 2nd choice if I can't do the above would be to use the speaker level inputs on the basslink and get the signal from the stock rear speaker wires. Will the headunit still put the normal signals out of the regular wires if you are using the rca outs too?

Thanks for the help guys

Just get 2 y splitters and split the rear rca off the radio. It will not be a problem at all. Easiest thing would be to run the rca's to the trunk and split the rear rca and. you are gonna need two 6 or 3 ft rca cords in addition also.

Parts list:
2 splitters (1 female to 2 males)
2 6 foot rca cords.
