Try this one: piba0-wvxiw-eiii1)

Just add a space and the )

I think that is part of the code. I hope. Let me know if that works.

I'm going to snatch the two front speakers and the rear ones. His MP3 player sucks compared to mine (he paid $200 for his (some good brand), I paid $129 for my Sony's... but I did buy mine a year later)

I don't think there is much of anything to snatch out of there, but I will take a look

Oh. I see. I didn't realize he had an aftermarket head unit. I thought he had just bought an mp3 adapter for the stock unit. I was just wondering cause I'd figure the factory Head Unit in the Maxima would be a double din and fit perfectly. Also, it would be cool if those bose speakers would just plug right into the factory spaeker harnesses in your SE-L, but probably not since they will need a power and a ground for the amplifiers.

Haha I see... no he has an aftermarket player

I really hope they are pretty easy to unhook and hook back up. Here are some pictures of them

And I'm going to leave these little guys alone and on the car, I think it will do more damage taking them out and leaving a blank spot.

Ok. Yeah. Now I see what you mean. Those amps are literally connected to the speakers. Its gonna be a tight fit to get those in the rear deck. Not impossible but, it will take some modification.

I meant to ask you if those Bose front speakers were components. They are. Most Bose systems have components in front with a seperate woofer and tweeter. You are gonna want those lil speakers and the crossovers. They are part of the front component speakers. Those lil speakers are the tweeters for the mid bass drivers in the doors.

Should I just buy some seperate little speakers? I just dont want to leave a huge hole in there...

What exactly is crossovers? lol

Crossovers block out frequencies so they don't damage speakers that aren't designed to play said frequencies... for example, a tweeter (small 1" speakers) are designed to play high frequencies, like the sound of cymbals (sp?), so it doesn't receive any midrange (vocals) to lower frequencies (bass) with the aid of crossovers...

Similarly, woofers shouldn't get any vocals or high frequencies, so you can filter out those frequencies from a sound input using a crossover.

Exactly. I mean if you are gonna eventually sell that maxima you might not want to mess with it or you can just put that system back in the maxima when/ if you do sell it. But, then you will have some odd shaped holes in your Sentra where the Bose tweeters were since they aren't round.

I just went and read some more of this thread... honestly, I wouldn't even *** w/ a 10yo system out of a Max... and Bose on top of that with their integrated mess of a system; you could do much better with Polks, Infinitys, Alpines, or Pioneers. You'll know the power output of those speakers, the impedence, and you can get them new with warranties!

My $0.02

EDIT: oh damm... read everything but the title... stick w/ Pioneers.

Your right Sonny... as good of a system that Maxima has, I will don't want to waste all the time messing with it.

What if I get the front set with tweeters from Crutchfield, that Infinity system, and use the rear Bose speakers?

Is that too much of a hassle?

Thanks a lot guys!

Your front speakers will make the biggest diff in soundstage... definitely rock a component (tweeter + midrange) set up front.

What kind of music do you listen to?

I would definitely pitch the idea of messing w/ the Bose anywhere... if you're looking for good bass, I'd consider cutting out the deck and adding 6x9" speakers or stick w/ 6.5s in the rear w/ a 10" sub.

Yeah. That Bose system seems like to much of a headache.

Check out these speakers Sentrixx has in his rear deck. I'm seriously considering going this route.

I listen to stuff from classical music, to techno... so descent base support is wanted.

x2, the thing that I am most afraid of, since the system is so old, it might break easily

So here is what I have currently in mind:

These front: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-CTTjdQI...6010CS&g=52000

And the Bose rear speakers from the Maxima. That is if they can be separated from the front speakers

Yeah there is a picture of them on his cardomain. I'm talking about the speakers that he has in the rear deck. You can see how big the magnets are on those 6.5" subwoofers and why he had to do some modification to make them fit. Similar to your situation if you put those Bose speakers in the rear deck.

Alright I'm looking into getting those speakers...

When checking out, the only option available for speaker location was Rear Deck... are those infinities only for the back?

you need to get adaptors, stock nissan size is 6.75. you could just drill new holes if needed, but you won't get the correct seal around the speaker.

and please. just leave the max speakers alone. they're not going to be worth the hassle. You can see from the pics they're a paper/fiber composite cone, that's not good. get a poly cone speaker and you'll be fine. For the time and effort you'll put into getting those "bose" speakers to fit, you'll not be satisfied with the preformance.
