There are some audiophiles here on the forum. I'm in the process of upgrading my system. I actually ran the power wire for my Elemental Designs Nine.2 amp today. What does your system consist of? Got any pics?

I used to have a Power Acoustik FUBAR-10 at 1600 watts, but I came to my senses and now I run Polk components up front and elemental design 6.5" subs in the rear deck of my b13. It has better sound than any car I've been in so far but still enough bass.

here's mine in one of my Eggs ,, I've recorded an spl level of 152.2db.. all my power is REAL RMS ratings not the big bull crap #'s on the top of some amps, I used Rockford fosgate 0 guage power wire and Tsunami Rca's, juice is supplied from a Red top up front and a 10 farad Tsunami Cap in rear. system is at a 2ohm load...

All Boston Acoustic amps are class AB rated which is cleaner and more accurate with the RMS #'s the any class D amps

Boston Acoustic SL60 sperates

Boston Acoustic GT40-Dual-Mono Power @ 2-ohm (12.6VDC)
2x175W

Boston Acoustic GT28 -Dual-Mono Power @ 2-ohm (12.6VDC)
1x1100W

Boston Acoustic G5 10's in a Tony Boyd enclosure

KDAR JVC3000

For clear, crisp bass without the rattle. Adding Dynamat to the vehicle - especially the trunk -results in higher Sound Pressure Level (SPL).

Dynamat is the easiest-to-apply, thinnest and lightest material for adding sound pressure reinforcement to your car's body. When the panels don't rattle and balloon, you get higher SPL and tighter, louder bass!

and for rear fill I have SL65 coax,, no pic's but will post in a day or two

I have that same power acoustic sub in my car what's the deal with it. My rockford fosgate was hitting way harder than it till it burned out I replaced it, it burned out again so I sail let me get somethingh that's heavier and an handle high wattage but this thing sounds awful. BTW I'm pushing it with a RF 1200 watt 2 channel amp.

I had mine in a sealed box with some foam and it was more crisp then 90% of the subs I have heard. and it would beat if i turned the bass up, you could really tell it was an old car.

I just finished Tiffany's (Sumpsychochic's) car this week. Pioneer Premier head unit, 2 old school Xtant amps (1001dx & 604x - the square brass mesh models!!!), an Alumapro C.A.P. 5, a JL 10w7 in a sealed box built into the passenger side of the trunk, MB Quart 6.5" Premium components in the front doors and JBL 6.5" coxaials in the rear deck. Sounds quite nice.

I'll get some pics before I give it back to her this weekend.

Yes I made it. It needs a little more sanding and primer then it's off to be painted. I still have to glass the bottem and make my amp racks and panel everything else. Just waiting for warmer weather. Here is a picture of my gauge pod I glassed and painted. Sorry if the picture kinda sucks.

Dang skippy boosted that will pound the ground,,, you should put that in a custom slot port enclosure,, I think the Jl performs/sounds better in a ported box
