Both my right side blinkers front/rear flash rapidly with the headlights on, I have changed all the bulbs upgraded my tail light housing's to new tsuru's, upgraded my front housing's to sunny. I have changed the flasher relay to a new one. My right side blinkers STILL flash fast when the headlights are on
Please help me here, is there a flasher unit control box somewhere?
only with the headlamps on??? If its only with the headlamps on, it sounds like your hot from your lamps(power wire) is connected to your hot(power wire) to your blinker. Check to see if your wireing is rigged in the front somewhere.
ALL THOUGH THIS DOESNT MAKE SENSE BECAUSE YOUR LIGHT WOULD STAY ON?
-edit-
You can get something at Autozone that cuts back power from your signals.
(they make them and sell them for people who have LEDs in their cars and its to much of a load for them)
Some how you either have a bad wire somewhere(are all the lights flashing?????) or you have a bad bulb that you dont realize again. lol, or you simply just have a large load to your turn signals.
Are the turn signal coils comming on? They are just flashing rapidly? Both front and rear? and both front and rear sidemarker coils are lit also? Is anything not lighting up?
You said you installed aftermarket stuff? (which most of it is crap when it comes to lighting) Try installing the stock rear part again on the one side and see if its still doing it. If not, its a faulty rear part that is aftermarket.
When you turn on Headlights and Fog lights? Or just headlights?
If its foglights, someone tried to do a Bypass so they could have just the fogs on without the headlamps (Either wire or relay) and they screwed it up royally.
Or if its just the headlamps someone has tapped into your headlamp relay or wireing and screwed that up.
Try this. If you want to do a test..... Try and buy some wire. thin gauge for the purpose of testing. Connect one end to your battery terminal. The other end try and touch a connection of your lights(the hot/positive) MAKE SURE ITS THE HOT(NORMALY RED).
See if anything else comes on while you try your Headlamp onthe right side, then your turn signal and then your sidemarker. The corner/sidemarker has two in one bulb obviously, try both. The car doesnt even need to be on because (unless im wrong and someone can correct me, the ground is always ground and that circut is never cut)
Or you can try something like this, only disconnect your headlamp bulb and repeat these steps.
One of these ways you can see if someone rigged it wrong. (did you buy this car used? Or have you had it its whole life?)
headlights off everything is fine/headlights on one side blinks real fast.
i had this happen to me. i had to replace the part that the turn signal bulb plugs into.
Im getting closer to solving, the right side blinks faster with just the parking lights on too. My right front turn signal is really dim, ergo I think this might be the area to focus on. Does anybody have proper voltages on the wires going to the front passenger turn signal, and do I need to check the voltages with the turn signal on; with lights off, parking on, then headlights on?
It has nothing to do with your headlamps thats for sure now.
To be completely honest. I would replace all the bulbs. Buy all new turnsignal/side marker bulbs. For that side. TRUST ME. Its happened to me before, I put in new bulbs (one was defective) and so it took me a while to figure it out. If it still persists.
Do this.... Turn your hazzards on. Let me know what happeneds.
First with the sidemarkers on, Then with them off.
Also, as mentioned check your sidemarker in your bumper. (I was thinking this was a b14.)

Everything on the car is 12v. If you read the voltage while blinking you will not get 12v since your meter is not that fast. If you have a max voltage setting use that, it will tell you how much voltage it is getting.
Try another blinker switch, or jiggle it a little with the blinker on. Most likely this is the issue.
Those things at Autozone you are talking about should just be high watt 1-3ohm resistor that you put in parallel with the lights to make LED's blink slower.

i had this same problem...check the wiring in the tail light...mine were not spliced up correctly and became loose over time and the blinker started to mess around..
turn on the lights and blinker and move around the wires see what happens(thats *** i did and was able to fix my problem)
fixed it, wire was pinched on front passenger. Thanks all. Another light question, the person who sold me the car ripped out the factory fogs, is the only wire going down to them a green and black wire near the passenger side turn signal? my guess is they are daisy chained? I must have factory fog lights.
