Is there any way to get 6.5in comps into an NX2000?

I picked up a great deal on a set of 6.5" components... I was wondering if there was any way to get them into my nx or if I just shouldnt bother.

I'm fairly sure that you can fit some 6.5" drivers into a NX with a little bit of modification but I don't own one so hopefully some NX owners will chime in.

You can fit them. Some people have used the 4x6 stock plate as a mounting surface by cutting out the stock speaker and screwing the 6.5 into the plate. I think you can fit just shy of 2" deep speakers in the stock location, otherwise you will need to use MDF spacers. I went a bit ghetto and mounted my speakers to the door panel beneath the grill/map pocket section which runs along the bottom of the doors. This is a separate piece from the rest of the door panel.

you should really look through some of the threads and research this out,, this topic has come up oohhhhh 4 or 5 times in the past yr.. LOL ..

the answer to your question is YES you can put 6.5 comps in your door. you will need to use a small spacer and depending on the name brand of speaker you might have to trim just a little off the door (at the speaker)(grill).. heres a pic of Boston Acoustic's in my door.. hope this helps you
