Power folding mirror wiring...Please help...

I recieved my mirrors today from Debunk....
http://www.sr20forum.com/showthread.php?p=715190

Anyone wired these up with the control module ???

I've worked out the wiring on the mirrors, just need to work out how to wire the module and switch up....

The module has a fused live suply and earth, plus a yellow wire ???

The fold/unfold switch is wired to the module, which then goes to the mirrors, when I looked inside the module, it has a relay and ICs and all sorts in it....

Anyone any ideas...I can mount them and wire them for adjustment easily, it's just the module wiring I'm struggling with...

TIA.....Mark.....

all you need to do is run 2 wires from each mirrior to the switch and hook them up, the module is not needed, its all color coded light and drk green

Re: Power folding mirror wiring...Please help...

I saw that on your site, but the module has the changeover relay in it...

Does the switch do this on it's own too ??

Any idea what the module is for ?? Auto fold on ignition off ??

Thanks...

Re: Power folding mirror wiring...Please help...

I hI have worked out all the wire colours with a continuity tester, and it does work as you say, switching polarity without the module.....

But do you know what the module does ?? it only has 3 wires, but it has a dual 555 timing circuit, so it must have something to do with auto folding with an alarm or something.....

Any idea what the yellow wire would need.....possibly a positive pulse to fold and a negative pulse to unfold....or visa-versa...??

I am not totally ure what the module you have does.

what are the colors of the wires comming from it?

it might have nothing to do with the power folding mirriors they might have included it cause they did not know the nissan cars do not use them.

on the hondas, and toyotas and a few other im sure they require the module to fold the mirriors then selfs.

sorry i could not be more help but check wire colors and see if they match up, or try to read all the writting on the box and see what it says..

Re: Power folding mirror wiring...Please help...

Thanks.......

The module is actually wired in....a blue and a yellow wire comes from the switch, and goes to the module, then another blue and a yellow wire go from the module to the wiring plug.....

on the other side of the module you have a fused red wire (+) and black (-) and a yellow (???)

It is marked Nissan, with a nissan part number...

and here is the internals, it looks like a timing circuit of some sorts (556 chip is a dual 555 timer IC)
