Grounding the Amps

Where are you guys grounding your amplifiers?

If you have an amp under the front driver's seat where would be the best location for it to be grounded to?

I grounded mine to the metal bracket that holds the seat rail down. On the side there should be the seat rail platic cover, remove those and walla grounding point. Just make sure to clean it with a wire brush first.

I grounded mine to the bolt that holds the seat belt on.

Re: Grounding the Amps

My amp is closer to my trunk. I just pulled up the back seats (real easy) and there are plenty of awesome spots under there.

Re: Grounding the Amps

So I have a faint high pitched squeel. Sometimes it's really bad, but morst of the time I can't here it. I have my suspicians as to what it is, but I'd like to hear your opinions on it.

I gounded mine to the bolt that is under the plastic cover nearest the center of the car, fyi.

Re: Grounding the Amps

Always mount a ground to a point that is to the frame or body itself. Never mount to a bracket that is in turn mounted to the ground. I use the Bolt that holds the seat down. It is a Big chunk of metal because of how much pressure it has to hold to be safe in holding a seat in.
