Help with Speaker Selection

Hey guys,

I want to buy some speakers for my B14. I need all four speakers. I am NOT an audio guy, but from the research I have done, it seems I need 6.5" speakers with approx. a 2" mounting depth.

What are people in B14's running? Any suggestions for best bang for the buck? I would like to not spend more than $400 on all four speakers. And I do NOT want components, just regular speakers.

Thanks,

Re: Help with Speaker Selection

You have a ton of choices. A decent set of 6.5" coaxials would start about $60 a pair and it goes up from there. A good entry level would be Kenwood, Pioneer, Infinity. There are others but I'm trying to keep your choices to a minimum. So you should be able to get all 4 speakers starting at $120. If you need a set I can also sell them to you.

Re: Help with Speaker Selection

Frank, I have a friend that owns a car audio shop. So when you're ready to buy just give me a call and we'll head over there. His shop is like 5min from Mike's house, so let's set up a drinking night!

Re: Help with Speaker Selection

Martin,

My speakers don't work in my car anymore, so I'm going crazy listening to the drone of my exhaust. I am ready NOW.

But you are booked for the next two weekends right? I am down for any Saturday, Sunday. Let's do it sometime soon, before you tie the knot!!

Re: Help with Speaker Selection

Are you just gonna be running these with your stock deck? Or what head-unit are you gonna use? Do you know what the RMS is on the deck?

And just cause I'm going to weddings, doesn't mean I'm gonna have one. She knows who's boss FOO.......................I hope
