Battery Trouble

I am having some problems with getting continuous juice off my battery. Last fall I took off the stock negative clamp becuase It was rusted to h*ll and replaced it with a brass universal part. I soldered the 0 guage cable to the stock wire I cut. All was good except I also cleaned the terminal with a brush. I had to crank down the clamp to get it tight (almost solid).
Recently I had to take it off for some other work and now it seems to be coming loose. Is there a conductive sleeve I can fit over the terminal so I don't have to tighten the clamp so much? Any other suggestions?

Universal battery terminals are usually a single generic size that fits most positive and negative terminals. It usually has to be cranked really well to fit onto the smaller negative terminal that we use. Picking up a proper sized negative terminal and upgrading the ground wire will help you out a lot.

Re: Battery Trouble

Thanks for the info. Has anyone ever dealt eith the types with the quick release nob? It seems like it would be pretty handy when doing work regularly. Especially for like 6 bucks on ebay.
