Go to Sirius.com and they have a 3 day pass to try it. It has gotten better since I last heard it.

What radio? Just because it has controls doesn't mean you only need an antenna, generally, at least on most radios (Like Clarion's) it requires an external box, AND the antenna.....

I feel sorry for the people who bought the original pioneer DAB, it was like $1200 extra for the box and antenna around 1998

Ready means your deck is set up for a tuner. If it was a direct xm/sirius tuner built in (like some new alpines) it would just say XM/Sirius. Chances are you need a box + antenna.

Sirius is a gotta have if you drive all day like I do!!! My kenwood requires a seperate tuner for Sirius (Which I have & use habitually, FM sucks now - too much whitenoise) Your deck probably just controls the tuner and requires the seperate unit too it's like having CD changer control, with no CD changer included... The only negative I have about Sirius is their choice of antennas - the only one (happens to be a SR20) that fits mine has a 3 inch "tail" of plastic protecting it at the base and on my NX there isnt 3 inches of straight space to tack it down... I had to ghetto it sideways into the hatch... oh well... If you have a kenwood head unit PM me as I have a spare tuner I'd be willing to sell - then youd just need the control cable from Kenwood and the antenna.... (I swap mine between my Truck and NX so I used both cables and antennas)...

New antennas are coming from terk. They are the same profile as the small xm ones. They do have a tail but its not necessary to have them, it's removable on the new ones. Also new tuners are coming. Check this out. http://www.siriusbackstage.com/forum...cee8 74a059db
