Indash monitor help

I don't know if anyone here knows anything about indash monitors but I just installed my Pioneer AVX-P8DVD. It works great except for the fact that I don't know how to control the volume. My Dad and I both read the manual over and over again and couldn't find anything about it. I don't see any settings on the monitor itself for it. The remote has controls for the volume but they won't work for some reason, everything else on the remote works though. Anybody know whats wrong?

I responded to your post over at the Nissan forums.

I'd suggest try another remote to see if it will work your unit. That's one of the main reasons I specifically wanted a volume knob/controls on the head unit itself. The others were in case the remote was lost or the batteries got weak or died. Either way, that's a nice head unit.

I've been told by some people that I just need to get another remote and the other half of the people tell me that since this is a add on monitor that I have to either get a compatabile Pioneer head unit or another head unit with auxiliary. I'm not sure what to do.

Its an add on piece, you need something else to control it.
