How to hookup ipod to car speakers w/4 channel amp

Before people start yelling at me, i would like you to know the reasons behind this strange project. I was quite complacent with my alpine cda-7894, 12" hx2, and Chaos C700 amp before my car was raped and left barren. Now, i have been without a system for 8 months and road noise is becoming all to monotonus. So while collecting parts for my system my friend gave me a c350 boss amp. I figured i can hook up my amp to the four speakers and run my i-pod to the RCA input. My question is voltage. The inputs on the amp are low level, if i hook up a i-pod to the inputs will i kill the amp? If not, is there a better way to go about this?

You could run the RCAs through your headunit..if it doesn't have RCA jacks get a FM modulator on ebay (not the wireless ones) for cheap

Use a high to low coverter. You'll hook up a regular headphone jack up to the ipod and then connect the wires to the coverter which will have RCA's run to your amp. You'll still need something to turn the amp on though. I don't know what they do to quality, but they're cheap and it would work.
